what do you have to be thinking to do something like this?
When i went up in class to talk about my blog today the class told me about a new story they had heard about a marine throwing a little puppy off a rocky cliff, so of course im going to write a blog about it! I just read the article on the fox news website about the incident. My father was a marine and he is the greatest man i know and it kills me to think that marines like the one featured in the youtube video give all other marines a bad name. If you have not seen the video basically a marine picks up a black and white little puppy and says "oh, i tripped" and throws it off a rocky cliff and you can hear the dog yelping. This video was taken off of youtube because so many people were outraged. The authenticity of the video has not been verified, but it has been viewed 145,000 times. I pray to god this video is not real because i hate to think thats theres heartless people like that in this world.

films with animal abuse..do they really hurt the animals?
Cruelty to animals is a very real thing in films. People seem to think in the movies when animals are killed its not real. Well, sometimes is not, but there are noted cases in which it is extremely real. In the south korean film "The Isle" a real frog was skinned alive while fishes were mutilated. This was all for people to watch and enjoy...they actually killed a living animal with a face and a heartbeat for a movie... Another case is the italian film "Cannibal Holocaust. In the movie it showed graphic beheading and ripping apart of a turtle and also had a monkey being beheaded then its brains were being consumed by natives. A spider also got chopped apart. This movie was a prime example of unstaged animal cruelty. Youtube also has examples of real animal abuse. Yes, beloved youtube has hosted thousands of videos of real animal cruelty. Atleast some people tag as them inappropriate, but youtube usually fails to do the police actions that are necessary to get it off the internet... think about it next time your watching a movie with animals getting hurt.. staged or unstaged?

Vivisection
Since I am so against animal cruelty, its obviously that i would be against vivisection too. If you don't know what vivisection is, it's testing on animals. I've seen pictures of what the tests do to the animals and its disgusting. I know certain products are SOOO important to us, but we need to think about what an animal had to go through in order for us to have those just so great products. The funny thing is, sometimes the animals don't even react the way a human would.. so its definitely important to test it on an animal so animals can wear it too right? Ha, give me a breakkkkkk. I don't believe animals were put on this planet in order to be put in cages and be infected, injected, gassed, burned and blinded. Some people believe it's just rats they are testing on. Think again. Its dogs, cats, rabbits, monkeys and other animals that go through this day in and day out. We need to help them! The website below it a really good one if you want to learn more,

Seriously Disturbing..
http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/rabbinate_uruguay_petition
I could only watch the first part of the video because honestly i cannot stand watching people do that. I read the article that came with the video and it was just as disturbing. I just dont know what the hell kinda person you have to be to do that to animals. The method they used ( shackling and hoisting) is outdated and terrible. If you dont want to watch the video basically what it was is a slaughter house in south america where they trip the animal and slit its throat and let it bleed out then cut it into pieces while the animal is still alive...all i have to say is that you have to be a cold ass hearted person to ever work at a slaughter house. I have zero respect for those people and if i ever met one would probably feel sorry for them because they had to have some kind of messed up childhood. I dont understand why they have to kill animals so terribly it makes NO sense to me whatsoever. Check it out, tell me what you think...i couldnt even stomach it....

Heres the process:
A team of workers "tripped" cows by tying a rope around one of the animals' legs and pulling on it, forcing the cows to the ground violently and causing them prolonged pain and stress.
Once the animals were on the ground, a worker would stand on one of the animals' legs while other workers—including one holding the animals' heads in place with a sharp metal pole—restrained the animals so that the shochet (kosher slaughterer) could slit their throats. Some animals were forced to endure this trauma for several minutes.
After the animals' throats were slit, they were immediately hoisted into the air by one leg to be bled out. At this facility, some cows were conscious and struggling in this position for many minutes after schechita (kosher slaughter).
Workers began the dressing procedure—cutting into the animals' heads, necks, and joints—while some animals were still conscious and able to feel pain.

I have never eaten a hamburger!!
Yes, the title is true. I have never eaten a hamburger in my entire life! I was not born a vegetarian ha! I used to eat meat all the time, but i am a person that eats for the texture of the food and the texture of hamburgers were never my thing. In seventh grade my best friend showed me a pamplet on animal cruelty. From that day on, i never ate meat again. It has been six years and im still goin strong. I am an animal lover like you would not believe! I cannot even watch those movies about dog heroes because something always happens to the dog! I live in a dorm currently, and i have two turtles named tiki and roo and one fish named sushi. I always have to have animals around me!At my home i have two dogs named toughie and jasmine and three more turtles! They give a kind of unconditional love and loyalty thats so rare in this world. Therefore, i live everyday without meat because of my love for animals. I have read books and looked at all the websites, and as much as it kills me i feel like i need to be informed of whats going on with animals. I wish the world would be more informed on these issues, but no one wants to know the terrible things that go on. If you are interested in a really good little chapter to read about animal cruelty there is a book called "Skinny Bitch". Its a book about going vegan which i am not, but theres a chapter that is titled " You are what you eat" and its one of the saddest things i have ever read about factory farming. If you want to be informed check it out! Its not a fun read but its good information to know. Well theres a little background on me so im hoping to write in this blog everytime i hear of something else dealing with this issue, so if your interested keep checkin it out!!
